I understand that James Taylor (the artist) may accept or decline the subject matter. I understand that balance of payment will be due upon my (the purchaser’s) approval of color copy“proof” and that once the payment has been received by the artist my matted, original art-work will be forwarded to me immediately. People sometimes feel concerned about whether they will be pleased with the portrait they have commissioned, and I want to assure you that I will make every reasonable effort to create a work that satisfies you completely. If, in the end you are not completely satisfied with the portrait, you will be under no obligation to accept or pay the balance of the money. However, the deposit and the artwork will be mine to keep if you choose not to accept the portrait. The amount of time necessary to complete the portrait will depend on the medium and the current workload of the artist. The completion date will be agreed upon by the artist and the purchaser. |
